The envelope is franked with 11 U.S. stamps , including a pair of the 65c Graf Zeppelin (C13), 10c Lindbergh (C10), and various other commemoratives and definitives. A colorful red, white, and blue cachet features a map of the flight path from California to New Jersey. The reverse bears two August 29 receiving marks from Staunton, Illinois and Hillsville, Virginia. Included inside is the original handwritten enclosure note , dated August 20, 1929, which warmly reads: "Greetings. Around World Flight Graf Zeppelin from Los Angeles Calif. to Lakehurst N.J. to Offspring wool & Grain Farming Steeleville." Signed by Chas. O. Fritz of Staunton, Illinois.
