Flown on the historic First Contract Trans-Pacific Flight by Pan American Airways, this November 22, 1935 China Clipper cover was postmarked in San Francisco and carried to Honolulu, Hawaii. It bears a single 25 blue Winged Globe airmail stamp and a green cachet depicting the aircraft and tall ship, inscribed San Francisco (Alameda Airport) to Honolulu. Addressed to San Francisco, it also features a Honolulu receiving cancel dated November 23 on the reverse. A clean and well-centered example of this iconic airmail event. SKU: 6377-47190-1
