RW23 1956-57 American Merganser, Mint XF VLH Duck Stamp

Very lightly hinged 1956-57 Federal Duck Stamp (RW23) with plate number 165827 at top. Well-centered and graded XF, with strong margins and bright original gum. Designed by Edward Bierly, whose illustrations of waterfowl appeared on multiple classic issues. This example shows no gum bends or skips, and the plate number margin is cleanly preserved.
