1977 commemorative postal cover from Randolph AFB, Texas, hand-signed by Ellison Onizuka, the first Asian American astronaut and a Challenger STS-51-L crew member. The cover marks the Air Force's initial screening of 1,000 applicants for the space shuttle program and is postmarked April 18, 1977. Onizuka's bold signature has been authenticated by Zarelli Space Authentication and comes with a full Letter of Authenticity (LOA #Z008750, dated May 31, 2025)
