The envelope bears a bright red Zeppelin cachet reading First Europe-America "Hindenburg" Flight and is franked with a 50pf blue zeppelin airmail stamp plus additional green 25pf regular issue. Dual Hindenburg 6.5.36 cancel ties the stamps clearly. Reverse bears New York backstamp dated May 9, 1936 .
