Attractive First Flight cover flown aboard the LZ 129 Hindenburg from Frankfurt, Germany to Lakehurst, New Jersey on May 8, 1936. The envelope bears a bright red Zeppelin cachet reading First Europe-America "Hindenburg" Flight and is franked with a 50pf blue zeppelin airmail stamp plus additional green 25pf regular issue. Dual Hindenburg 6.5.36 cancel ties the stamps clearly. Reverse bears New York backstamp dated May 9, 1936. Light hinge remnants and toning on back, but a bold, clean example from the early flights of the Hindenburg.
