S. stamps, including a vertical pair of 20c Golden Gate, a 50c Zeppelin stamp, 3c Washington, and a four-stamp block of the 3c Famous Americans issue (plate number 21556 visible). All stamps are tied by bold New York May 9 duplex cancels. Violet flight cachet at lower right. On reverse is a clear Frankfurt arrival postmark dated 14.5.36.
